Yeah, I see your … Yeah, I see your point, but I still think it’s correct for Ivey to maximize value against a drawing hand like this that isn’t likely to push or payoff on the river if missed. Also, if a 9 or off-suit 6 hits the river, Ivey may have to fold to a river bet, as those cards could put a 4-card straight possibility on the board. Also a Q on the river would counterfeit Ivey’s two-pair if his opponent were actually holding a Q. So I prefer to get it in when the decision is easier to make.
Good call by Phil, … Good call by Phil, he was 4:1 favorite on the turn. I am not sure about shoving it all in, though. With the flush draw and straight option I would have just flat called and probably folded on a 3rd heart.
Well he obviously … Well he obviously was semi bluffing and in high stakes games (especially playing ivey) Ppl are just duble and triple barreling very often on those kind of boards that the raise on the turn can be profitable. And after he raises it wuld be pretty bad to fold i mean hes alredy invested half his stak…
So what, he had 11 … So what, he had 11 outs, might as well shove it in. How was it another 200k? he only had 113k when the hand started lol. Actually no 1 cares about your opinion, because these guys are high rollers and could give a shiet about your strategy, else you wouldn’t be here posting lol.
he couldn’t fold? … he couldn’t fold? really? he had about 56k in it it was gonna cost him almost another 200k. he really didnt have pot odds or anything. He was just gambling. with an extra 200k.
kid are you stupid … kid are you stupid lol. 1 there is no straight draw. 2. You have to put Phil on at least 2 pair, so your 5 cant be good. So he has 11 outs. Personally I think he should have just called the turn. Once Phil put him all in on the turn, he had to call, he was getting the right price
