@kostasmitros1 I completely agree, but it’s only etiquette. It doesn’t have to make any more sense than removing your hat when you enter someone’s home or share an elevator with a lady, or keeping your elbows off the dinner table. It’s only manners.

Yes i totally agree with the person regarding maintaining a good etiquette while playing on the card table. The etiquette’s of the player reflects his over all personality on the card table and it will also help him in making a good image.

You can in fact touch your cards if you are playing at a table with a one deck shoe. However, you must only use 1 hand. That is because the dealer deals your cards face down and you have to see your had (obviously) to hit or stand. Again, you can only use 1 hand to look at your cards.
